Customer Review: Mini Strat
I play a Stratocaster as my main guitar, and I even prefer it over my Les Paul, so I was intriguigued by a miniature Strat. I was expecting something similar to a Strat, but when I got it I was totally jazzed. The detail is unreal. They had gone to great effort to make everything exactly like the real one. It even has a pack of three picks. One thing is put it in a safe place to display it because in making the details in scale it is very delicate. I'm very careful not to damage it because it is a prize display I show to everyone who comes to my house. If you like guitars and unique detailed collectibles check it out. You'll love it. I do.

Every guitarist knows that the tone of the guitar is determined for the better part by the type of pickups he uses. So what do you do when you're not happy with the tone your guitar produces? Well the answer is pretty simple. Just get yourself a new pair of pickups!

This however is more easily said than done. Delve deeper into the world of guitar pick ups and you will be as confused as a rat in a maze. Humbucker, single coil and acoustic are some of the types of guitar pickups available and for the beginner these might seem like complex jargon. So read on to find simpler tips on how to choose the best guitar pickup for your guitar.

Find a tone that you like

Is there any artists who plays the same kind of guitar you play? Do you admire them for their awesome tone? Well, then it might be easier to get the tone you desire by simply figuring out what pickups they use. There are many websites which will provide you these details.

The three main types of pickups are:

Single Coil: Single coil pickups are sought after for their vintage sound and they have widely noticeable feedback. The Fender Stratocaster is one of the most popular designs that use a single coil pick up. Though fender has launched many pick up designs, none have been as popular as their original design. Also a lot of other Statocaster guitar models of other brands use single coil pickups.

Humbucker: The Humbucker is renowned around the world for its extremely powerful tone. In fact the Humbucker was specially designed to reduce the hum that was caused by single coil pickups. So even if you play blues or heavy crunching rock, you can find a Humbucker that suits your needs. You can also find some humbuckers with a vintage feel to them. The magnets and screws of the humbuckers are what give them the punch in the sound. Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio and EMG are some of the best brands for humbuckers.

Acoustic Guitars: With acoustic guitars you don't have that much of a choice when it comes to pickups. Acoustic pickups are mend to increase the overall sound of the guitar and not improve the tone. Soundhole, soundboard transducers and the unplugged acoustic are the three main types of acoustic guitar pickups.

So do a little bit of research on each type of guitar pickup. You'll find it relatively easy to find the right pickups. There is nothing better than to play your guitar with a tone you love!

Country and Pop Music superstar Shania Twain has released a greatest hits CD appropriately titled Shania Twain Greatest Hits.

The reclusive Twain has sold more than 40 million albums over the years with-flirty, hook laden, beat-heavy, country-tinged pop tracks that have all the subtlety of a musical wet T-shirt contest.

The CD launches with the classic ballad, Forever and For Always then goes on to showcase the very impressive list of gold records Twain has had over the years. Containing a whopping 21 songs in all.

Impressively Twain writes all of her own songs and melodies on guitar and of course does a great job singing them as well.

Some of my own Shania Twain favorites are track 1, Forever and For Always, track 2 I'm Gonna Getcha Good, track 5, Man! I Feel Like A Woman! and on, and on, and on. Heck they're all good!

Customer Review: The shrunken Strat
Really nice. I got the sunburst strat model, and the paint on the diecast body shows woodgrain. One detractor though, mine could have used a little more red in the sunburst - almost looks like the two tone fifties sunburst pattern - but I am just nitpicking. The things is beautiful. I think they should offer a fifties strat with a maple fretboard......
Customer Review: Mini Strat
This is a great looking collectible! A perfect looking tiny strat, right down to the last detail. I love the look of the finish - just like the real thing! I also love the wall hanger - it looks just like a regular guitar wall hanger, only small! Great detail and craftmanship in this item!

The fame of karaoke all over the world is phenomenal but its origin has never been uttered. Nowadays, karaoke bars are becoming more popular in various countries. As a matter of fact, most restaurants offer machines with songs in different languages for free. Nevertheless, the mere thought of going to karaoke bars often raise some eyebrows. On the other hand, those who complained but gave it a chance, it has been hard for them to withdraw themselves from the fun it gives.

Where does this well-known form of entertainment really come from? Although the exact story of the emergence of it is vague, we can still track its etymology. The word 'karaoke' comes from 'kara', empty (short for karappo) and 'oke' (short for okesutora), orchestra. As known, karaoke tracks only have music accompaniment. The vocals are provided by a "singer", amateur or not, who holds a microphone and sings while following the words displayed on a screen or in a book.

With the evolution of technology, karaoke has been brought to every home. Its first real technological advancement is the development of home sets that allows you to sing at anytime. There were also karaoke tapes that have been made available to the public. Then, the birth of compact disc made it even exciting as it offers hundreds of songs in just one disc. These music paraphernalia comes with a lyric book and can be played with or without vocals.

Going back to its roots, the congestion of Japanese neighborhood have become a major problem in setting up karaoke sets. With houses built closely to one another, many complained about too much sound coming from other houses. And so, entrepreneurs took advantage of this issue and created the soundproof karaoke boxes. The box is a converted freight car with closed-door insulated rooms and soundproof. This is marketed as a venue where one can sing so loudly without creating inconvenience to other people. The first karaoke box was developed in 1984 in a rice field in the countryside of Okayama Prefecture. Sooner, Karaoke Boxes became popular and were put up in open spaces in both rural and urban areas.

Time flies and we're now embracing the continuous development of portable Karaoke Microphones. This sound device has a built-in program and a chip that houses thousands of songs. And because it is portable, playing it anywhere you want is possible as long as there is a television.

I'm selling the famous Enter Tech magic mic. I also love to read magazines of various topics and an active contributor of the music blog.

The way we listen to music has forever changed thanks to the MP3 revolution. If you are late in jumping in on this bandwagon it really is a great time to be considering your first player. The main problem you may have is deciding which type of player is right for your needs. One trip to your local computer superstore and you will find a lot of different types of portable players. How are you supposed to figure out the model you need? You have so many different choices such as whether to purchase a hard drive or flash memory model. Would an MP3 CD player better suit your needs? This article will take a look at some of the features available on the many different types of MP3 players and help you pick out what is right for you.

The first thing you must decide is what type of storage space do you need. The first players such as the iPod had a hard drive much like the hard drive in your computer. You can buy these in all different sizes with some available as large as 60 GB. Some of the bigger models will more than likely store all the music you will ever want to store. If you cannot fit all of your music on one of these models you own a lot of music. On the other side of the coin are flash memory models.

MP3 players with flash memory generally will not hold as much music as one with a hard drive. There are no moving parts and they are well known for being small and holding up well when a lot of movement is going on. Flash memory is an excellent type of portable music player to use when exercising. The small size also makes it a great choice when you plan to take your flash-based player with you on your daily activities. Depending on your needs a CD player that will play MP3 disks may be a good choice.

Most of the radios you can purchase these days will have the ability to play MP3 CDs already built in. If you are the type of person who will listen to your music in the car most of the time this might be a good choice. Not only will these radios play regular CDs they also will play your MP3 CDs that you can burn at home. The advantage of this over a normal CD is that you can stuff many hours of music compressed into the MP3 format on a single CD.

In the end it is up to you to decide what is important to you. Do you need the ability to store a large amount of music or is size and being able to slip your player in any pocket more important? Do your research and make the right choice the first time. There has never been a better time to pick out that first MP3 player. Enjoy the music wherever you go.
